Texas A&M University
I am a 5th year PhD student in economics at Texas A&M University. My research uses experimental and quasi-experimental methods to address questions related to individuals' anti-social behaviors, broadly defined. I am especially interested in the way people's attitudes and, more specifically, their hate towards specific individuals or groups are impacted by the news and by social media. In my job market paper, I investigate whether news coverage of hate-motivated mass shootings, which tends to emphasize the hate ideology and the identity and background of the shooter, could lead to more hatred toward the victimized group.
I am on the Job Market for the 2022-2023 academic year.
